The Minnesota Boer Goat Association Breeding Doe Program is a promotional program established to aid youth in getting a start in raising their own meat goat herd.
One Breeding Doe
Must be a 4-H member in good standing
Must be 4-H state fair eligible for current year
Must be a resident of Minnesota
Previous recipients of MNBGA Breeding Doe Program are ineligible to enter
Complete application form
Obtain a letter of reference from someone who can comment on your abilities and commitment
Write a letter of intent explaining why you want the Breeding Doe and why you feel you are a good candidate for this program (maximum 500 words)
Applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2020 and mailed to Shelly Pitlick c/o MNBGA Breeding Doe Program, 701 S Sutton Lake Blvd, Jordan, MN 55352
The MNBGA Committee will select the recipient from the pool of qualified applicants. The recipient must provide care, housing, and a quarterly report to the MNBGA and their mentor. The Breeding Does will be awarded by May 1.

This association is for youth ages 6-21 involved in ANY part of raising and showing MEAT GOATS in Minnesota! As a member, you will have access to the Junior Minnesota Meat Goat Association Mentorship Program, a forum with informational posts, photos and videos created by experienced youth in Minnesota who fill out the Mentorship Application. Membership is FREE!!
The only way to improve our industry is to come together and make change happen. As in all things, the youth are the future!!

The Junior Minnesota Meat Goat Association is currently taking applications for mentors in the Mentorship Program! As a mentor you will: - Produce quality posts, photos and videos explaining various aspects of raising and showing meat goats. - Respond to questions from other members seeking information through the mentorship program. - Work with other mentors to plan events like clinics and socials for Junior Minnesota Meat Goat Association Members.
