MNBGA Sponsored Shows & Programs
Minnesota Bred & Owned is a promotional program established to recognize Minnesota producers while
rewarding the 4-H exhibitors who showcase Minnesota bred livestock at the Minnesota State 4-H Fair.
AWARD
- $100 premium for the Division Champion when purchased/leased from MNBGA member; $50 from non-member
- $50 premium for the Division Reserve Champion when purchased/leased from MNBGA member; $25 from non-member
In each of the following Divisions:
- Junior Breeding Doe Kid
- Senior Breeding Doe Kid
- Fall Yearling Breeding Doe
- Junior Yearling Breeding Doe
- Senior Yearling Breeding Doe
ELIGIBILITY
For animals to be eligible they must be Minnesota bred and will be verified in the following ways prior to
payment:
- Registered animals: the “breeder” on the registration paper must be a Minnesota producer
- Non-registered animals: the USDA Scrapie Flock Certification Program tag must be from a Minnesota producer
